Wine Colour
At release, the wine is a bright straw colour with green tinges to the edge.

Wine Bouquet
At release, the wine displays lifted aromas of white peach and candied citrus which are in harmony with subtle apricot and spice.

Wine Palate
At release, the wine has a crisp, round palate with fresh fruit characters of peach and nectarine on the mid palate and zesty lemon on the back palate. There is also subtle spice characters to the flavour. The wine is medium to full-bodied with soft tannins and long, persistent finish.

Cellaring Notes
Drink now if you like your wine young and fresh! If you like a bit of maturity in your Chardonnay, the wine will benefit from careful cellaring up to and possibly beyond 2013.

The Taylors Eighty Acres Chardonnay 2010 was one of only 53 chardonnays to wine gold against 914 entries from countries from around the world in the variety's heartland, Burgundy. Taylors' Eighty Acres range is 100% carbon neutral and was selected by Australia's Ambassador for Climate Change for a function in Copenhagen and was awarded Best Green Launch by Drinks magazine, and also picked up awards for sustainability and environmental management.     The Clare Valley has red soils with fractured limestone that should be ideal for chardonnay, and the flexibility of the variety in adapting to a range of climates should result in very, very good chardonnay. It doesn't, the reason(s) unknown. This has a light, bright green-straw colour, with yellow peach and tropical fruit tightened by some aciddity. You can't expect more from the Clare Valley. Don't wait.
