Wine Colour
Dark red almost opaque, this is a wine of considerable density. The hue at release has purple tinges to it.

Wine Bouquet
On the nose fine dark chocolate precedes varietal aromas of mint, cinnamon, eucalypt and ripe berry fruit. Hints of cassis, aniseed and liquorice brood in the background combining with aromas of nutmeg, spice, tobacco and cedar from maturation in quality French oak.

Wine Palate
The palate shows generous flavours of ripe berry fruit, cinnamon, mint and spice. The wine has great varietal tannins which give good length across the elegant palate. The tannins are fine and persistent and should hold the wine for many years to come.

Cellaring Notes
Will reward careful cellaring to 2012.
