Wine Colour
At release, the wine has a deep crimson red colour to the centre with a vibrant purple hue to the edges.
Wine Bouquet
There are lifted aromas of dark berry and dark cherry fruit along with subtle plum pie and then spicy overtones of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove aromas.
Wine Palate
This is a rich, full-bodied wine with intense flavours of ripe cherry, plum and blackberry fruit, with attractive oak characters of coffee and chocolate. The palate is well balanced with a silky, subtle creamy texture to the mid-palate whilst the tannins are enjoyably chewy and the finish, long and lingering.
Cellaring Notes
Will reward careful cellaring in ideal conditions to 2020, possibly beyond.

James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, November 2011
This is a wine that has gained complexity rather than simple depth and power from the blend of two regions, and works very well, the flavours and textures seamlessly held together, the Clare with plum and blackberry, McLaren Vale with dark chocolate and some savoury notes; the tannin structure is especially pleasing.

Holy moley, this is the stuff. Plum, dark berries and licorice on the nose, then rich and intense dark chocolate, ripe berries and spice on the palate and a silky finish. This, my friends, is why we do love a shiraz. With fruit from SA's Clare Valley, Taylors Jaraman again proves why it is a success and long lasting - this is the 10th vintage. Drink it now with a lamb roast or hide it somewhere and try to forget it's there for a few years. Good luck with that.

The Vinsomniac, May 2012
The Taylor's Jaraman range showcases cross-regional blending, in this case a mix of Clare and McLaren Vale. Not one for the terroirists - though regional input is present. Sweet cherry, blackcurrant and polished oak. Smooth, sweet fruited mix with a punch of liquorice toward the back end, augmented by some fine-grained tannin.

Fruit of the vine
Vanilla, dark-chocolate and blackberry liqueur aromas followed by a syrupy-smooth, richly textured, fruit-sweet palate balanced and saved from going right over the top by some firm, savoury tannins on the finish.

World's greatest shiraz challenge
An oak-driven nose but there's plenty of blueberry fruit to match. Long, mouth filling palate loaded with fruit, and with a good tannic finish.

Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front, January 2013
WeÆve had an uneasy relationship with Taylors Jaraman Shiraz û mostly due to (over) oaking issues. IÆve tasted this a couple of times and the oak here is settling down û though itÆs still laid on. Thick, chocolatey oak on thick, chocolatey fruit. ItÆs plummy and blackberried too, with a slip of eucalypt to boot. Very Australian, which is not a bad thing, but in a somewhat exaggerated fashion. Hard to score as a result. If you enjoy this style, you will rate this significantly higher. (And admittedly, there are nights when I do).
