Promised Land
Promised Land
Cabernet Merlot 2009
| Region: | South Australia |
This is a voluptuous, silky wine with plenty of blackcurrant and mint. The palate is mouth-filling and flavoursome with soft, velvety tannins.
Crimson red with soft violet tinges.
Wine Bouquet
Lifted aromas of plum, red berries and liquorice along with a hint of spice, cedar and vanilla characters from oak influence.
Wine Palate
A soft, round and gloriously fleshy palate delivers flavours of ripe plum, red berries along with subtle liquorice and chocolate, finishing in a smooth and elegant fashion.
This is such an easy-drinking, soft and approachable wine. There is wonderful flavour and richness but it’s not at all confronting…a bit like a red wine with training wheels…and a true little treasure!
Cellaring Notes

Promised Land Cabernet Merlot 2009Destination Food, January 2012
A polite effortless wine to drink not at all confronting. Colour is red with tinges of violet. To taste you'll get the plum and berries you'd expect from the Merlot while the Cabernet gives us a few ""straps"" of liquorice. Soft tannins, hits the palate with few drapes of velvet. There is wonderful flavour and richness but it's not at all confronting ... a bit like a red wine with training wheels ... and a true little treasure.
