Garnet with brick red hues. Moderate to intense.
Pine nuts, nutmeg and spice initially on the nose. Has a sweet liquored cassis lift with complex characters of leather with a forest floor earthiness. Integrated and complex primary fruit aromas are evident, however, are developing to create a bouquet of interest and charm.
Rich, powerful flavours, supple tannins; medium to full bodied. Herbal savoury finish-has persistent length of flavour with pleasant drying astringency

Try with with Porterhouse steak and mushroom sauce. Perfect by itself, after a meal or as an accompaniment to a quality cheese platter.
Immediately approachable but will cellar well to 2005, possibly longer.
