  • St. Andrews 40th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon 200695/100

James Halliday, Wine Companion 2011, September 2010

Good colour; a very well made and balanced wine that has clear-cut varietal expression on both bouquet and the medium-bodied palate, blackcurrant, cassis and cedar intermingling, the tannins fine and oak balanced and integrated.

  • St. Andrews 40th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon 200692/100

Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, December 2010

The 2006 St Andrews 40th Anniversary Release Cabernet Sauvignon provides a deep garnet color with a hint of purple in the rim and a very fragrant nose with notes of red rose petals, lavender, black pepper and kirsch over warm cassis and a whiff of menthol. Crisp, rich and full with firm fine-grained tannins, it has plenty of complex fruit in the mid-palate with a long spicy finish (cloves and nutmeg coming through). Drinking wonderfully now, it should continue to be delicious through 2022+.
