Wine Colour
At release, the wine is a very pale straw colour with a slight green tinge to the edge.
Wine Bouquet
The wine displays zesty lemon and lime aromas along with faint orange blossom and talc.
Wine Palate
This particular Clare Riesling is still tight and restrained with a linear focus to the palate and purity of fruit flavours. There are lashings of fresh lemon/lime juice characters up front and a slate-like minerality across the mid-palate. It is backed up by a persistent and refreshing lime acid finish.

Pretty wine with gentle, perfumed nose and juicy, citrus palate with racy acid balance. Good cellaring candidate. 5+ years

Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, December 2010
2010 St Andrews Single Vineyard Release Riesling displays pronounced aromas of ripe apple and pears with nuances of jasmine and peach blossoms. Dry with a medium body, crisp acid and good concentration, it gives a long stone-fruit laced finish. Approachable now, it should continue to evolve and cellar to 2022+.

2010 Taylors St Andrews Riesling offers pronounced yeasty / honeyed notes with nuances of peach blossom, grapefruit and jasmine. Light to medium bodied and dry with high acidity, it gives layers of honey and citrus flavors and a long finish. It is appealingly primary now but should age nicely, drinking to 2022+.

Windsors Choice
To paraphrase the old Kenny Rogers song: ""You've got to know when to hold 'em; know when to drink 'em."" And that's where you are likely to run into trouble with this wine. The top-of-the-range Taylors riesling is a delightful drink in its youth with attractive floral aromas and pristine fruit with citrus nuances. The trouble is, though, that this is also a wine that cellars superbly. A recent tasting of the still youthful but brilliantly maturing 2007 vintage confirmed its potential over the next decade. The best solution: Buy at least two bottles. Enjoy one and put one away.

Katrina Holden, Drinks Trade, March 2011
In a first for Taylors, the brand has released their flagship St Andrews Riesling 2010 alongside their 2007 vintage. St Andrews wines are normally released with a few years bottle age, but as chief winemaker Adam Eggins said: ""2010 is one of the best vintages of the past 10 years and we wanted to show the world just how good it is now."" The 2007 has a slightly toasty nose, sure to please riesling purists, with lime and spice; a layered a complex palate, rich and full of flavour and good fruit intensity and length. The 2010 Taylors St Andrew Riesling displays lime and orange citrus with floral aromatics, good acid backbone and considerable length - no doubt destined to develop its full personality over the next 15 years.

Fresh Wine and Beer
Long and steely palate with hints of lemon. Very well balanced, but needs more time in the bottle to integrate.

Top 100 Wines - Taylors
The winemakers choose the most concentrated vintages with the best balance for this label and give them extra special handling. They show the remarkable flavour changes and the softening texture riesling is capable. Riper end of the riesling spectrum with balance and intensity.

Australian Wine Annual, November 2011
Rich, round and unctuous, this heady, floral and spicy riesling delivers intense, bright and punchy aromas of lemon, lime and apple before a luscious, juicy palate of smoothness, length and almost a fatty viscosity, It finishes with crisp acids, and lingering notes of pear and peach.

Wining Pom, February 2012
Remains one of the great single sites in the Clare showing a lovely fruit purity. Upfront it smells of zesty lemon and limes with a mineral aspect, like damp paving stones. A stellar line of citrus on the palate with a piercing lime cordial intensity and tantalising spice. Beautifully persistent on the finish and still a veritable bairn. One for the cellar.

Taylors St Andrews Clare Valley Riesling 2010 is its flagship wine. Of greenish hue, with hints of talc on the floral bouquet, it is at once dry and tangy with a luscious, smooth palate finishing fresh and crisp. One of the great wines of Australia.
