Clear, deep colour; a distinguished full-bodied shiraz from a distinguished vintage; blackberry fruit is woven through ripe tannins and quality oak, all three components in great balance.

Shiraz and blends
Aged qualities showing: a very good wine. A stern, serious spicy edge with, tightness. Lovely ripe, dense fruit with lots of good Clare characters showing through. Dried herb aromas with good fruit on the middle palate.

Regarded as a benchmark wine from the Clare Valley, one of AustraliaÆs premier wine regions. It represents the very best from the TaylorsÆ family estate and continues the St Andrews tradition of fine Australian wines since 1892. The wine has a brick red colour with a deep crimson heart, and marries enticing and complex aromas of plum fruits, violets, spice and creamy vanillin from maturation in American oak.

Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, December 2010
2004 Taylors St Andrews Shiraz has a medium-deep garnet color and evolving nose of smoked meat and tobacco, leather and Indian spices over dried mulberries and plums. Medium to full bodied, it has just enough spicy flavor to flesh the medium-firm, chewy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing long. Mature now, it should keep another 3-5 years+.

At seven years of age this intense, complex wine is just starting to hit its straps. A lovely mellow wine that's deliciously drinkable now.
