Wine Colour
Light yellow with a greenish yellow hue.
Wine Bouquet
The wine has a deliciously lifted aroma of white peach, nectarine and citrus. The bouquet is enriched by, subtle aromas of cream, cashew nuts and a slight savory aroma from the use of French oak.
Wine Palate
This is a style that is generous in palate weight and flavour. Varietal fruit characters of peach, nectarine and citrus are evident throughout the palate. A subtle pineapple note adds interest to the back palate. French oak characters of cinnamon and cashew nuts add complexity to the palate which has a wonderful creamy texture and a good acid back bone, giving the wine length. The finish is both soft and clean and reminiscent of ripe, fresh, juicy peaches.
Cellaring Notes
Drink now if you like your wine young and fresh! If you like a bit of maturity in your Chardonnay, the wine will benefit from careful cellaring up to and possibly beyond 2010.
