Wine Colour
Dark red with a vibrant purple hue.
Wine Bouquet
Attractive varietal fruit aromas of spice, mint, plum and cassis along with those reminiscent of rich fruitcake intertwine and are balanced by cedar, cigar box and vanilla oak nuances.
Wine Palate
This wine offers a palate of rich fruit cake flavours with sweet plum and cassis characters dominating. It is a flavoursome yet elegant wine with fine, long tannins. Oak derived characters such as tobacco leaf and cedar ensure the palate is not one-dimensional.
Cellaring Notes
Immediately approachable but will continue to improve until at least 2010, possibly longer.
