  • Ideal Everyman's Reds
    Taylors Estate Shiraz 2009

    Tony Love, Taste, June 2011

    Ideal Everyman's Reds
Good, honest Aussie shiraz from the outset, smelling of ripe blackberry and plum fruits with a well-weighted mouthful of sweetly tuned flavours and just enough creamier-style oak-derived texture and complexity to support all the higher aromatic tones in the wine. It's an all-good, everyman's red wine at this price point and will satisfy at just about any winter occasion

  • Taylors Estate Shiraz 200989/100

Glen Frederiksen, Winelines Online (USA), October 2011

The Clare Valley is known for making sedate, refined renditions of Shiraz, and this one does not disappoint. Eucalyptus and mint spice frame lots of soft, fleshy black fruits. ItÆs velvety smooth in the mouth, where it picks up candied black licorice notes. This is the kind of red that turns sips into gulps. Be careful: If you start drinking this while cooking lamb chops on the barbie, there wonÆt be any left at dinner time!

It's supported by a fine spine of bony tannins, and offers genuine length and richness of fruit.

Don Kavanaugh, Hospitality New Zealand, March 2012

This hardy perennial is showing its class with this vintage. Typical shiraz nose of mulberries, blackberries and pepper, the palate is more of the same with a decent weight and a quick but satisfying finish.
