Taylors The Pioneer Shiraz 1.5L Magnum represents a bold step in our continued journey across generations to craft refined and distinctive wines that rival the world's best. The Pioneer is an exceptional Clare Valley Shiraz crafted from the very finest fruit grown by and available to the Taylor family. This wine is named to celebrate the pioneering spirit of Bill Taylor; who had the conviction to do things differently and who has demonstrated the fortitude to stay on a path to greatness.
Tasting Notes
This a commanding wine with multiple layers of intense, lush dark berry fruit followed by spicy fruitcake and then seductive mocha. The palate is full and generous but with precision to the structure and the texture most appealing with velvety, mouth-coating tannins mingling harmoniously with fruit and spice. Elegant acids and light, long tannins carry the palate to a persistently rewarding finish.

Named in honour of Bill Taylor Snr. Taylors founder and visionary, The Visionary 1.5L Magnum is only produced in extremely limited volumes from exceptional vintages and represents the utmost refinement of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. This pinnacle release Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from the very finest fruit selection and is entirely estate grown and bottled on the Taylor family estate in the Clare Valley.
Tasting Notes
The wine is rich and complex with understated elegance. Classic blackcurrant, dark cherry and varietal mint characters intertwine perfectly with the hallmark long, fine tannins on the palate. There is a subtle, underlying smoky, charred oak character and a hint of roasted coffee grounds on the back palate. The finish is perfectly poised and boldly declares the stature of the wine; full of the potential for greatness.
