This Chardonnay over-delivers on the price-quality ratio. Full-bodied with green apple and toasty oak aromas. Perfect for roast chicken. Lovely melon and pear notes on the finish of this Australian Chardonnay.

This offers a generously textured, mouth-filling stream of crisp, refreshing flavour from twist top to final drop of the lengthy finish and aftertaste. Aromas of tropical fruit, ginger and nutmeg abound. They precede a medium-full bodied, tapestry of palate-bathing flavour—white nectarine, apple pie spice, nutty notes and gorgeous lemony tang. It’s well balanced, well priced and delicious. Long story short—pick up a few.

As expected you will be gifted plenty of aromatic savour, citrus curd and compression, not to mention wildly forward and snappy orchard fruit flavours in this Clare Valley striker. Wood does turn the creamy churn but only enough to add body and weight. This remains nicely balanced throughout. Drink 2017-2019.

The Clare bottling is exceptional: supple in texture, full bodied, well balanced, and lightly oaked; a wine with peach, pineapple, toast, cedar, and lemon peel aromas/flavors, and a smooth, long finish. Great value. Mostly fermented and aged 4 months in French oak barrels, 10% new; the remainder in stainless steel tanks.
