Rose, musk and spice aromas, along with a palate that is crisp and zesty with lime and lychee flavours and a touch of spice.
Sticky
At release, the wine has a very pale straw colour with a subtle green hue to the edge.
The wine has lifted aromas of musk and lemon sherbet along with a subtle rose bath salt character.
The palate delivers all that the bouquet promises with intense characters of rose water, sherbet and musk. The wine has a crisp and zesty acidity with subtle lingering citrus notes and finishes cleanly. A perfect example of Clare Valley Gewürztraminer!
The fruit for this wine was sourced from our Taylor family estate in the Clare Valley. The grapes were harvested at night and transferred quickly to the winery to retain their freshness. The fruit was gently whole-berry pressed and the juice left in the press to cold soak on skins for four hours to enhance terpene extraction. Following that, the juice was transferred to stainless steel and fermented using a specialist yeast strain designed to enhance varietal character. After fermentation, the wine was blended, stabilised and fined. Minimal handling and filtration was employed in the crafting of this wine to ensure the delicate varietal characters were protected.

This wine has been crafted for immediate enjoyment but will also reward cellaring under ideal conditions up to and possibly beyond 2017.
