This wine is crafted in the classic style with a fresh, crisp acidity and a delicate palate showcasing varietal flavours of strawberry and red berry fruits. The perfect accompaniment to lighter dishes and a sunny day.
Sticky
At release, the wine is a vibrant salmon pink colour.
At release, the wine has lifted, fruit aromas of fresh strawberry and raspberry with hints of ripe watermelon & faint musk. Floral aromas of rose petal and carnation complete the pretty picture.
This wine is medium-bodied with fresh and delicate flavours of strawberry and raspberry fruit balanced with hints of mineral talc. The wine has an enjoyable soft textured mid-palate with enough lively acid to keep it refreshing and the finish is dry.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from our grower partner in the Adelaide Hills. It was harvested in the cool of the night and quickly transferred to the winery where it was whole-berry handled directly to our refrigerated Pera pneumatic press. Firstly the free run juice produced before the press was even engaged was transferred directly to stainless steel refrigerated tanks and was left to settle and clarify naturally. The remaining fruit was then very gently pressed and the blush coloured juice transferred to stainless steel tanks. Both parcels then underwent a cool primary fermentation at between 12 and 14 degrees to retain freshness. The wine was then fined, filtered and bottled in July 2017
