Stylish, fresh new look on the outside.....deliciously crisp with flavours of fresh passionfruit. green apple and gooseberry on the inside.
Sticky
At release the wine is a very pale straw with a green edged hue.
The wine is distinctly Adelaide Hills with tropical aromas of passionfruit and guava with a hint of freshly cut grass.
This wine has a crisp and zippy palate with regional varietal flavours of tropical fruit up front and then gooseberry and some herbaceousness across the mid-palate. There is a naturally delicate, cleansing acidity to the wine with a soft, persistent finish.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from our long-term grower partners situated in Woodside and Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills. The grapes were harvested at night and quickly transferred to our winery where they were separated into two parcels. The first was de-stemmed and then pressed whilst the second were transferred straight into the press as whole berries. Both parcels were cold soaked on skins in the presses for a day to increase precursor flavour extraction. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel using a strain of yeast to highlight the varietal character. The wine was bottled after minimal fining and filtration.
Adelaide Hills
This wine should be enjoyed whilst young and fresh.
