Colour At release the wine is a ruby red with a vibrant purple hue.
Nose The wine displays rich dark cherry fruit characteristics with hints of spicy incense and underlying dusty oak aromas.
Palate This is a medium-bodied wine with flavours of maraschino cherry, plums and subtle spice along with well integrated savoury oak. There is a pleasing soft and silky texture to the mid palate and the wine has a long, persistent finish.
Oak Maturation Half of the blend was matured in new American oak and the remaining 50% was matured in a combination of both French and American oak (3 and 4 year old) for 8 months before final blending and bottling.
Cellaring Notes Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a short term under ideal conditions.

    Intense, juicy tempranillo with dark cherry and berry, cassis, violets, cacao powder and spicy French oak characters supported by fine, peppery tannins. Should develop with medium-term cellaring, although I like its fruity, youthful enthusiasm.
