This red shows vivid plum, cherry, eucalyptus, licorice and myriad herbs, spices and flowers, underpinned by a graphite note. There's power to the palate but a lovely freshness and well-placed tug of gravelly, peppery tannins. It's an excellent weeknight wine with barbecue.

A soft Shiraz with hints of chocolate and oak and juicy red fruit carrying the primary weight to both the nose and the palate. With only a brief time spent on America oak, there’s not the traditional heft and bite you might expect from Aussie Shiraz, but it’s an easy-drinking, silky medium-bodied red to be sure. Good value. Serve it slightly chilled.

The Promised Land Shiraz is exceptional: supple, ripe and distinct in flavor (blackberry, plum jam, cassis, oak) that is long on the palate, balanced, and lingering on the finish. Great value; can develop further. Aged briefly with American oak.
