The aim with this wine was to craft an elegant wine with a crisp and refreshing palate that finishes with lively balanced acidity.
Sticky
At release the wine is a very pale straw colour with subtle green highlights to the edges.
The wine displays lifted fresh and vibrant aromas. Lemon and lime citrus characters abound, followed by layers of subtle blossom and enticing floral nuances.
On the palate, the wine displays intense citrus fruit characters of fresh lemon and lime along with hints of orange blossom. An apex of tantalizing acid soars in the mid-palate, balanced by good fruit presence. The finish is crisp and resonates with citrus fruit - hallmarks of a great Clare Valley Riesling.
Riesling was first planted on the Taylor family estate in 1978 and currently there is 31 ha planted across 7 separate blocks on the estate. This particular parcel was a project undertaken by the winemakers to investigate a new pruning and harvesting regime and was subsequently released under the TWP label exclusively for cellar door.
