Delicious, sweet figs absorb flavours like citrus, mascarpone and rich red wine, as they bake in a warm oven. Accompany your figs with the Taylors wine used in this recipe.


  • 10 fresh figs
  • Butter
  • 2 tbsp of your favourite Taylors red wine
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 200 gms mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tsp liquid honey


  1. Halve the figs, place in greased baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle sugar over figs, splash over red wine, pour over the orange juice. Bake in preheated oven at 180\u00ba for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Mix honey and mascarpone mixed together, dollop over figs.
