Honey Baked Ham

A favourite for holiday season celebrations.


  • 1 ham leg
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1\/2 cup honey
  • 1\/2 cup dijon or french mustard
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • \u00bc cup apple cider vinegar


  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius. Prepare the ham by removing the outer skin and rind and score the ham across diagonally in a crosshatch pattern and insert cloves into the diamond-shaped spaces.
  2. Mix together rest of ingredients into a pot and whisk to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium high heat, then simmer until thick and reduced for about 10 minutes.
  3. Brush the glaze on to the ham and place on to a roasting rack.
  4. Bake in oven for around an hour, basting half way through cooking, until the glaze is caramelized or the ham reaches 65\u00b0C.
  5. Slice the ham and serve.
