Single Variety

region

Clare Valley (88%) / Adelaide Hills (12%)

colour

On release the wine is a very pale straw colour with a youthful green hue.

nose

It has intense lifted aromas of peach, nectarine and melon with hints of honey and nutmeg. There are underlying citrus notes and subtle secondary oak characters of cedar and spice.

palate

A rich and welcoming varietal palate which is fresh and mouth filling. Round, fleshy, varietally charged with white peaches and nectarines. The palate is also savoury, complex, layered, and inviting with a fresh, clean and persistent finish. The Clare Valley parcel delivers mid palate fleshiness whilst the Adelaide Hills component contributes restrained fruit characters and a hint of minerality that is typical of this region. Overall, this is a wine designed to enjoy with food.

oak maturation

A small percentage of the wine was barrel fermented and then the entire parcel was matured in premium French oak for a period of 10 months prior to bottling.

cellaring notes

Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a medium term under ideal conditions.
