Cabernet Sauvignon
Single Variety
Clare Valley / Coonawarra
At release, the wine has a deep garnet red colour with an opaque core and a youthful crimson hue to the edges, showing brilliant clarity.
There are lifted aromas of violet and carnation with notes of cherry, blackcurrant and fresh green bell pepper. Subtle cedarwood, floral spice and choc-mint add complexity.
On the palate, this is a graceful yet powerful wine with fresh varietal flavours of mint, cassis and dark fruits. The cool 2023 season has delivered intensity and focus, with elegant tannins providing structure and poise. Overall, the wine is well balanced with persistence and length, showcasing both restraint and penetrating flavour.
The wine was matured for 14 to 18 months in French oak hogsheads (predominantly 2 to 5 years old), followed by fining, minimal filtration and then bottling.
Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a long term under ideal conditions.
