At release the wine is a dark red colour with ruby red hues.
nose
The wine has lifted aromas of black plum, redcurrant and cherry fruits along with a touch of oak derived savoury spice.
palate
The palate is rich, luscious and round with intense, perfectly ripen fruit characters. Dark chocolate and vanilla characters complement the generous red plum and berry flavours. The wine has a well balanced structure with great texture and surprising delicacy to the finish.
oak maturation
The wine was matured in American oak barrels for a total of 14 months prior to bottling.
cellaring notes
Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a medium term under ideal conditions.
