Fig, Prosciutto and Blue Cheese Salad

Light easy salad full of fresh delicious ingredients. This spring/summer special is perfect for lunch or a dinner side salad. Pairs wonderfully with a Taylors Riesling or Prosecco. 


  • 6 figs
  • 8 slices of prosciutto
  • 200g gorgonzola blue cheese
  • 150g rocket leaves
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper


  1. In a small bowl mix balsamic vinegar, olive oil and salt and pepper together. Set aside.
  2. Cut figs into halves or quarters depending on the size.
  3. Bake or grill the figs for 5 to 10 minutes until soft and warm.
  4. On a serving plate, place the rocket then spread the prosciutto slices and crumble over with gorgonzola cheese.
  5. Drizzle dressing evenly on top.
