Shiraz
Single Variety
McLaren Vale
At release, the wine is a deep purple, red.
The wine displays enticing layers of red plum and black cherry and then mocha coffee and subtle vanilla and spice.
The wine has a mouth filling lusciousness, densely packed with generous plum and dark cherry fruit flavours along with subtle floral violet characters and a smack of vanilla underlying the opulent oak expression.
Whilst the wine was fermented in 3 and 4 year old French (Burgundian) oak barriques, it was not further matured in barrel.
The McLaren Vale region experienced a drier than average growing season in the lead up to vintage 2020 for the third year in a row. The continuation of dry conditions has contributed to generally low yields across the region with winemakers reporting concentrated flavours and good quality.
Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a long term under ideal conditions.
