oak maturation

Whilst the wine was fermented in 3 and 4 year old French (Burgundian) oak barriques, it was not further matured in barrel.

vintage conditions

The McLaren Vale region experienced a drier than average growing season in the lead up to vintage 2020 for the third year in a row. The continuation of dry conditions has contributed to generally low yields across the region with winemakers reporting concentrated flavours and good quality.
