Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose of this wine offers a plethora of fruits and florals from the respective regions of fruit sourcing; Cherries, plum, Blueberry, Violets, Mulberry. This in conjunction with select oak use starts to give the wine deliberate aromas of white chocolate, Mocha and Christmas cake.

Palate:The Palate of this wine is soft, Fruit forward and playful. Being very fruit focused this wine boasts freshness. Medium tannin loan adds a silky structure to the wine to support it through the mid-palate and into the back-palate where oak tannins drive the palate to a finish of remarkable length. The flavours on the palate can be described as Red fruits; Cherries, Raspberries and Strawberries. This in conjunction with with a white chocolate notes from the oak gives a flavour characteristic reminiscent of Strawberry Pocky Sticks. Overall this wine showcases the exceptional quality of fruit from the vintage. Best described by the concentration of fresh fruit in the aromas and flavours. This wine is created to be enjoyed in its youth but will have no problems cellaring for up to 7 years. This wine is well rounded and will pair well with most dishes. Whether it is barbecued meats, pasta or a simple cheese board.

Colour: At release, the wine is a deep red with a dark, intense purple hue to the edge.
