Tasting Notes

Nose: This Pinot noir has intense primary aromas blueberry and cherries with faint red fruits of strawberry and raspberry. There are also splashes of complexity with floral notes, thyme, toast, cedar wood and tobacco, lurking in the back ground. Like smelling wild strawberries in a fog covered forest, many subtle complex smells.

Palate:he palate of this pinot noir has great varietal shape which is soft, round, luscious with a fleshy textural mid palate. The balance is superb with fine grained tannin and a French oak line that holds the architecture seamlessly and gives the finish a light delicate yet powerful persistence. The French oak work cradles the fruit so delicately framing and presenting it gracefully. Mouth filling elegance what Pinot noir can achieve more than most red wines. This wine would perfectly with blue vein cheese or dishes of duck. Made to be enjoyed in its immediacy, however should last 5+ years and evolve beautifully.

Colour: A varietally medium bodied wine with red brick core, a garnet base, quite a pale hue in its youth. A colour true to the wines variety which will evolve gracefully over the next 3-8 years.

Details

Dry/Sweet: Dry

Range: Jaraman

Blend or Single: Single Variety

Region: Adelaide Hills 90% Tasmania 10%

Wine Body:

Oak Maturation: Oak maturation for Pinot noir should always be French and usually 2-5 year old French, possibly 50% barriques & 50% hogsheads. The oak influence we seek is an undercurrent expression lifting up the fruit expression and offering supporting gentle and very fine supple tannins. Fruit expression is the aim of Pinot noir and the role of the barrel is to offer subtle support and complexity.

Vintage Condition: Pinot noir fruit was harvested in the early morning and rushed through to the winery. 2025 was quite warm and the harvest dates were early from the 5th of March through to the 13th of March. Fast and furious as was the vintage. Mild El Nino. Cool yet dry and early Wonderful ripening conditions even in some of Australia's cooler regions.

Cellaring Notes: Made to be enjoyed in its immediacy, however should last 5+ years and evolve beautifully.
