Colour At release the wine is a pale, fresh straw / green colour with a fine, creamy white mousse.
Nose There is fresh fruit characters of green apple, pear, along with floral hints of musk and white citrus blossom.
Palate This wine displays attractive and refreshing pear, green apple and bright citrus characters. The extremely gentle fruit handling has resulted in a lively wine with a fine, delicate perlage (bubbles/mousse), finishing crisp, dry and flavoursome.

    Winemaking in north-east Victoria's King Valley began in the 1970s largely because Italian farmers switched from tobacco to wine growing. The area's now a linchpin of Australian prosecco production pioneered by the Dal Zotto family. Before migrating from Italy in 1967 after growing prosecco grapes in Valdobbiadene, the patriarch Otto Dal Zotto planted Australia's first prosecco vines in 2000. This prosecco from the Clare Valley-based Taylor family company is straw-hued, with busy medium bubbles and honeysuckle scents. The front palate shows pear flavour, the middle palate green apple, lemon curd and flint characters and the finish slatey acid.
